A/B/O Promptis bc omg yaaaaas
Jul. 6th, 2017 08:48 pmIt has been a miserable month so far. He thought he had everything, he thought he had the third astral in the bag, he'd finally make contact with Luna and convince her to join them. He'd finish this war against the empire and get the crystal back and everyone would go home. He could be with Prompto then, because he KNEW Luna would understand. Hell, she probably had someone else. He never felt like they were in love even through their notebook messages. They were friends forever but that was all it was, friendship. He was on the cusp of it, on the cusp of getting Luna away from the empire, the move that would turn the tides in this uphill battle but then everything changed and things went downhill and kept rolling down and down just getting worse. Luna died and Ignis was blind, darkness was falling, the daemons were getting worse, he was unhinged, he couldn't fucking focus, he was snapping at his friends, Gladio was at the end of his patience with it and they were getting further into imperial territory which just meant everything was going to be tougher. More security checks, tighter security checks. More guards... more events like how he and Prompto had to get off the train to fend off mechs.
And gods, Prompto. Noct had... he didn't want to think about it and at the same time he couldn't get it out of his mind. Prompto's panicked face as he fell from the train. Standing there on the top watching as his body quickly shrank in the distance and was gone... the sinking feeling like he wanted to fall to his knees and maybe drop of after him. The horror of realising he was duped. That chase through the train was Prompto... he had thought in the back of his mind that the way Ardyn had been talking was weird, it wasn't his normal speech pattern but he hadn't... been thinking then. He was just so angry, he needed to avenge Luna, he needed to avenge his father. The crytsal. Insomnia.... what he'd said to him, he'd blamed Prompto for everything then threw him off the train. What must he think now? He'd told him he loved him, that he wanted to mark him, that he wanted to be his alpha back in high school and in Altissia he made it clear to Prompto his feelings hadn't changed but then Luna died and poor Prompto had kept a sensitive distance while Noctis withdrew from the world... it looked like he changed his mind didn't it?
Prompto was alone and vulnerable to Ardyn... Ardyn. How could he let this happen? He would fix this, if he had to tear down every window and door in Gralea. But that may not be necessary. He was sure the asshole chancellor would place him in the keep. If it wasn't so damn hard to stop getting his hopes up every time there was an illusion. Every time it was an MT running ahead, dipping around a corner, or slumped in a chair Noctis' breath hitched and then his heart sank when it wasn't him. He started to wonder if it would only be illusions and maybe Prompto wasn't here after all. But then they headed into a chamber, one that didn't seem like the main path but just for completion he and Ignis and Gladio stepped inside. Down a musty hallway of cells.... and there he was. Or at least an image of him. He couldn't get the doors open fast enough. What was he in? Gods... Ardyn is going to pay for this. He didn't miss the circular saws on the table. He didn't want to think about it. He had to get him down, had to get Prompto out of that thing.

want to time skip again? Past the funeral and to the BABIES?
Date: 2017-07-20 01:16 am (UTC)"I would have changed some things, though I do not regret what has happened." his blindness, Lunafreya's death. Ravus' death. Noctis' absence, and Prompto's pregnancy without his alpha's support. He'd change those things. And his majesty... he would like him to live too.

Date: 2017-07-20 02:48 am (UTC)Months passed. They had the funeral, and Ardyn himself had shown up and set fire to the corpse. Prompto couldn't help but feel relief at that, even as he was worried about people having to put out flames. At least it seemed like Ardyn had bought it.
There was still no sign of his parents, though, and that made him even more certain they had died when the Empire had attacked the Crown City. He tried not to let it get him too down, but the grief was still there.
Prompto still took pictures every day, and eventually they showed a massive belly that caused his back to ache and feet to swell. By now, Ignis was completely bedridden and unable to get up. Prompto knew that Ignis hated that, but it was for his health and the health of his baby.
Then it was the day before the C-section, and Prompto had spent most of it with Ignis but now he was in the kitchen trying to put together some soup for him to eat while Prompto and Gladio were at the hospital.

Date: 2017-07-20 03:02 am (UTC)In the following months, they moved in together into the massive flat that could hold all of them with room to spare. Prompto and the twins had their own wing with a door that Prompto could shut and close them off from the others. Ignis and Gladio had a similar setup in the center section and Iris and Talcott shared the far wing.
They still had guest rooms for Cor and Aranea if she felt like dropping in. Gladio furnished the place well, it was plush and comfortable and there was no lack of soft toys and baby stuff. Cribs, carriers, bibs, high chairs, baby utensils, bottles, bottle cleaners, clothes. Gladio went a bit nuts with it and one of the guest rooms was completely taken over by stuff. But it would see them through this next phase of their lives. It was about to get hard-- really hard. Prompto would have his and Noct's twins, Ignis wouldn't be able to move at all... then he'd have their son.
Ignis loathed every minute of it though Gladio was more than industrious. He found a personal radio for him and got recorded books and music for him. He had to work hard to find that stuff but he brought home new things for Ignis regularly and the blind man ate them all up. Books about pregnancy, about parenting, about child development... they spent a lot of time laying together in bed talking about their plans for the future and for their son. It helped Ignis to plan everything from discipline and expectations to birthdays and milestones.
And the days passed, the photos were taken, the babies were growing... Talcott was so excited and he tried to help Prompto as best he could.
"Should you rest, Prince?" he grinned. He insisted on calling Prompto by his title. As the king's omega he was technically a royal now. "I can finish the soup, Iris showed me how." his smile was so bright. "Please. Allow me."

Date: 2017-07-20 03:26 am (UTC)He offered Talcott a smile, reassuring him. "And you can call me Prompto, Talcott." It wasn't the first time he had said that, and it probably wouldn't be the last.

Date: 2017-07-20 10:28 pm (UTC)"What are you gonna call the twins? Do you know if it'll be a prince and princess or two of the same?" he's so thrilled "I know Gladio is really excited. This is great, we're going to have a new set of royals soon. We have to teach them everything about Lucis and their country!" he wants to play with them too and take care of them. He wants to be involved.
"Oh, Iris said that. You can't eat before your surgery. Are you excited to give birth, Prince Prompto?"

Date: 2017-07-25 03:44 am (UTC)This night, though, before he was able to hold his children the next day. He felt at peace, calm, and ready to meet them.
"I am, Talcott," he said with a grin. "I'm excited to meet them and learn about the people they are going to become." He rubbed at his belly gently. "And I don't know the genders yet, I wanted it to be a surprise..."

Date: 2017-07-28 01:44 am (UTC)"I'm excited too! I hope they like Cactuar when they're older. I can show them the figures King Noctis got for me!" because Noctis was the BEST right? He was so awesome. Have you SEEN his COMPLETED COLLECTION? "I can't wait to see them, can I read to them when they're born? Can I play with them when they're older? Do you have names decided in case it's boys or girls?"

Date: 2017-07-31 04:48 am (UTC)"And you better believe that you'll be able to play and read with them, Talcott. You're going to be a good influence for them, right? Maybe even the best."
time skip to the birth?
Date: 2017-07-31 10:12 pm (UTC)Talcott started listing off names.
"We could name them after his majesty..." Regis was a great name. "I bet Noctis will like it."
sorry for such a late reply! finally home from my vacation!
Date: 2017-08-27 04:40 am (UTC)The next morning he was unusually quiet. Even as Gladio took him to the doctor to get everything started, he could feel that shy, quiet kid showing his head again, as words seemed to fail him. Nothing he could say seemed good enough for such a life changing moment in his life.
Because he was a male omega, things were easier for him if he had surgery. He could have tried natural birth, but this was easier and they could schedule when the children arrived. Ignis wouldn't even have the choice for picking, and Prompto honestly had wanted to have surgery in part so they would all be ready for Ignis's recovery - having already helped him through his.
That meant that most of the birth itself was a bit of a blur for him. He checked in with the doctor, was given a room to settle in, and coached through the process. It's a bizarre surgery where he was still half awake but couldn't really see or process what was happening to the fullest - thanks to the medication they put him in to numb the pain. He felt a pressure, a pulling, and then there were two perfect babies in his life.
Holding them, it was impossible to believe that he had ever been wary of the idea of parenthood. Tears were in his eyes before he could control himself.
