Physical violence: Sure, fight him. He's pretty tough even when nerfed but go for it. If you want to really hurt him I am all for that but please talk to me beforehand so we can decide on the details.

Physical affection: He's not huge into PDA so PLEASE come embarrass him, he does need a hug more than he will admit.

Death: Noctis dies trapped in the electric wall trap Ardyn sets for him in Zegnautus. (He is trapped in there canonically in the game but is saved by Gladio and Ignis) He is surrounded by Magitek robot enemies and fends them off with his father's sword same as in the game. But as the electrified walls close in on him his sword catches the electric current and it drawn into it. Noctis is holding the sword with his dominant right hand, the ungloved one, and he cannot let go of the electrified sword. He is burned as the current shoots through him and into the ground, his heart stops before his retainers can save him.

What are your plans for this character in-game? Shame to admit it but I do hope for some shippy stuff and for some friendships across canon. I also want to play with a Noctis who failed. Especially since he died alone, he failed while on his own for the first time. He struggled with his duty as king and his role in saving the world his whole life and just as he began to own it he died. I want to explore him coming to grips with that.

What aspects of this game and/or its setting are you most interested in having this character engage with? Death. It's been a present theme in Noct's life and his entire family since the dawn of his kingdom. He's not estranged from it though he does fear it. Living in the afterlife was something he expected to do with his family after he succeeded. Why is he here now? Is this hell? Is this the place for other failures? Are they all failures in life here?

How does your character generally get along with other people? He's awkward to say the least. Noctis means well but he's very private and also very concerned with coming off as cool. He doesn't have the strongest grasp on what that is exactly but he tries very hard. He is very soft-hearted when it comes to people in need. If asked for help he may complain at first (for the sake of his image if nothing else) but he does whatever needs doing and he considers the askees friends afterward usually. He is a friendly enough guy but he is certainly not the life of the party or the one to do the heavy lifting in conversation


What is your character's mental state upon entering the game? He'll be startled after the electrocution. He will not realize he is dead as he is aware that Ardyn can create illusions. He will believe Beacon is another one of those and will need to be told explicitly that he died. After that he will be devastated.

Skills/Abilities:

Weapons/fighting: Noctis has been heavily trained since youth in all manner of weapons from swords and daggers to polearms, shields, and even firearms.
Ring of the Lucii: A ring that is passed down from monarch to monarch in the kingdom of Lucis. It has game-breaking abilities to send enemies into alternate dimensions, to suck them of all life, or to defend Noctis from attack. It is a terrifying weapon of mass destruction Nerf: Severely reduce the destructive power of the ring and its ability to defend him. It is little more than a piece of jewelry. The souls of the kings of old are not in it, it's empty.
Royal Arms: Noctis has inherited the weapons of various ancestors of his. He can summon them at will and use them for special moves in battle. Nerf: My thought is that Noctis died while having his armiger suppressed by Ardyn, he did not have access to his ancestral weapons and only had his ring and his father's sword. He could simply have those and only those in Beacon.
Ability to put things in his armiger: he can summon any weapon or fishing rod out of thin air and I would like to keep this one as-is if that is possible. Noctis can make his fishing rod disappear same as a weapon, why not silverware or a book or something he can use in the world? If this needs to be nerfed then maybe he can still do this but it fails on him from time to time. Or more frequently than that if need be. He goes to summon an item and it's just not there or he is doing nothing and an unwanted item falls out of thin air as if called by him. He summons an item and it's broken. Actually nevermind this sounds fun. I will nerf this and leave this text here as-is.
Warping: He can throw his weapon across an empty area and teleport to it. Nerf: His distance for warping is much shorter.
Elemental Magic: He can use fire, ice, and lightning magic and create spells that both hurt the enemy and heal him and his friends. Nerf: His damage dealt is decreased and none of the magic produces light.
Summoning the Astral Gods: He can do that when in dire need in the game and it's metal Nerf: He cannot do this period. The gods are not here and even if they were, he's dead. They don't answer to him anymore.

Flaws/Weaknesses: He is profoundly lazy to the point of making Ignis and Gladio do most of the work of making his life happen. He is whiny at times, openly hating vegetables and beans, not wanting to work out, not wanting to be a responsible king, not wanting to get up in the morning etc. He dislikes insects thinking they are disgusting. Some of the daemons he fights are gross to him, he says so to various enemies including the flan. He gets grossed out by monsters and he is fooled by realistic illusions (at least the first time, but don't let him get onto you. Fool him once shame on you, game)

Personality: He's lazy and avoids responsibility like the plague but he's a good person and he notices 'the little things'. He is more perceptive than he lets on. He has a kind heart and cares about helping people. He can't say no to them really as much as he might like to. He is fairly quick to bond with them too, considering those he's worked with friends after he helps them. He's an animal lover and his too-cool persona melts away when he sees a dog, cat, or chocobo.

He is a privileged kid who doesn't like the attention of being a prince or being rich. Yet he enjoys some of the cushy life he has or rather he doesn't know any different, Ignis' cooking for one. It's normal to him while it's phenomenal to someone who has lived on regular food. Noctis finds it hard to express himself though he feels deeply and he knows what is happening around him. Mature or unselfish ideas are not lost on him, he knows his friends are sacrificing a lot to be with him, he knows he has to pony up and make the ultimate sacrifice or the world will die. He finds it difficult to talk about how he feels and tries to distract from the things that are painful to him. He is willing to be lazy and a burden in order to accomplish this. He loves intensely but has a hard time saying so. He also is a very monogamous person.
